1:46 pm - Whatever happened to LJ...
Just curious, I wonder what happened to the people I knew and followed here on LJ all those years ago.

You've seen COPS, you may have even seen TROOPS, but you haven't seen anything till you've seen the guys from S.O.R.P in action.

Emo Assualt Squadrom

This is the funniest shit I've seen on YouTube yet.

12:13 pm - Question
If there is someone on your friends list you would like to take, strip naked, tie them to a bed post, lick them until they scream, then fuck them until both of you are senseless and unable to fuck anymore, then wait about five minutes and do it all over again, then post this exact sentence in YOUR journal.

....I wonder if they know who they are.......

10:25 pm - Bored.. can you tell.
I sit here and read all these interesting journals, people with someting to say or some creative juices flowing. Yet nothing is happening in my life, things are at a total impass in my relationship. I wouldn't even call it that.. except it conforms to the technical requirements for one... we live together, share a bed, that's about it.

My best friend, and others who I've talked to about it wan't me to get out, and can't understand just how difficult that is. The time is never 'right', there's always something coming up that we're doing together, and now xmas is approaching. There's also the reality side of things, the cold hard truth of can I afford the rent by myself (No) and can I afford to replace the washing machien or fridge or whatever it is that a split would see go.

So i'm sitting up late, browsing MySpace, reading LiveJournals, not getting anything constructive done. My energy gone. I've got two website to do, and I can't get motivated. I need a good snog, a bit of passion, and some loving. (ohh god that sounds crap)

OK.. enough drivel, here's a quiz thing. This one suprised me, because unlike most teh answers weren't obviously pointing to a particular result... and yet it still produced one of my all time fav movies!

<td align="center">Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Your life most resembles Ferris Bueller's Day Off. You are crazy and love to live life to its fullest. Your friends love you because you always figure out crazy schemes to get them out of doing stuff.

Edit: dammit I thought these weren't working, but they were being dumped on the end of my other entry because the time on Flickr is out.

3:03 pm - Floods in SA
Well we had some pretty spectacular weather last night. My mum's house has had some serious damage from flooding, and retaining walls etc have been washed away. But I had to laugh when I saw these pictures:

That's part of an annual christmas display that is put up by a local brewery along th ebanks of the Torrens. Seems one of them tried to make a dash for the open sea and freedom!

2:44 pm - A glimpse at the chaos of my office.
In a blatant theft of idea from another LJ, here is a snapshot of my room, labelled for the curious with a bit of info about various things. It's easy to do, and I'm sure your nsapshots would be MUCH more interesting than mine....

1) Bubba Ho-tep poster. I love this film, managed to see it twice at the cinema, even if it wa steh tiny viewing room at the back of the Mercury.

2) Bills and paperwork. Can't escape these. I'm pretty hopeless ihen it comes to being organised, so this is my attempt to make it easy to stay on top of things.

3) My nice 19" Mitsubishi monitor, topped with a coupel of Smurfs, Papa Smurf, and Nerd Smurf. Papa Smurf is oen of my Neverwinter Night's characters, and well the geeky one speaks for itself. Note also a webcam that has NEVER worked properly, and Motoko Kusanagi, one of my collection of female action figures, the only one that actually sees the outside of it's box. I really can't afford to buy these anymore.

4) A Dunhill sign. No idea why I have this, it's been years now since I quit smoking.

5) Removable HDD's one chock full of video footage, the other, backups and porn. Also, a joystick for those rare forays into games that need such a thing, and a widescreen LCD, courtesy of my boss who claimed it didn't work and gave to me to test. (it's perfect)

6) A pile of CDs recently ripped. Only a hundred or so to go.

7) My video camera, which hasn't had much use of late. I keep taking footage, but never getting around to editing it into anything useful.

8) A notepad. I always have one nearby, for ideas, notes, scribbles and stuff. I just don't trust some information or ideas to the computer. I forget things too quickly if they're filed away on my HDD.

9) Makeshift shelves, from top left, going clockwise: hardware, card readers, plug packs etc, a pack of Penguin Mints, and some Crazy Aaron's Thinkng Putty. Box of tissues sitting atop a pile of magazine CDs and in front of even more DVDs and CDs from magazines. Recent games, and three Enid Blyton novels ( I have no idea why they're there). The bottom two shelves contain setup disks and stuff, and a big pile of gaming and graphics arts magazines.

10) These shelves have a bunch of my favourite collectables. A Last Starfighter comic, a few Viewmasters, Vespa models, Star Wars toys etc.

11) My Biggles books. and some displaced Enid Blyton's. That R2-D2 below is full of bubble bath.

12) An Axis network camera. One of the ones I'm using to put my house live on the web. You have seen my crappy webcams haven't you?

and that's it. Sorry about the mess. Curious about soemthing? Just ask.

11:17 pm - Webcams
OK.. i'm being really geeky here, but I've got two webcams running. One in the lounge, mainly focused on the cat's beanbags. The other in one of our offices, though I'm going to move that probably to the kitchen or something.

Don't thrash 'em, if my bandwidth takes too much of a hammering they'll come down. But I have put limits on the useable bandwidth, so it should be OK.

Time for bed.

You scored as Bondage. Your turn on is bondage... all out. You don't have a specific part of kinky sex that turns you on more than any other... everything working together turns you on. And why shouldn't it? Sex isn't sex without all the trimmings.

9:19 pm - Wow what a weekend.
Just gotta say I had one of the best birthday weekend I've had in many years.

My grandma (Nana) gave me a cheque for $1000 .. that's right, no mistake on the zeroes.. that's ONE THOUSAND dollars! Soem just HAS to go on bills, but I'm treating myself too, soem new Cons, a game or two (probably Oblivion and X3) and soem scooter parts from England.

Then Saturday nights dinner was just fucking fantastic! The Taj Tandoor in Rundle St now comes highly recommended from me. Seriously, if you're in Adelaide and you want good Indian, their dishes were mouth watering good. I don't eat fish, and I thought their Fish Tikka entree, AND their Fish Rangoli mains were some of the most divine things I've ever put in my mouth. That's GOT to be saying soemthing.

http://www.tajtandoor.com.au/ That's their website, I have NO qualms about giving them a plug. The catered for out table of 16 easily, and the banquet left us stuffed full.

Went to Crank afterwards, at he Crown & Anchor, which was a great night, with much drinking and dancing to be had, and then when they kicked us out we headed to Shotz for what was left of the night.

Sunday.. well the hangover wasa bitch, but I had a free Corporate ticket for the basketball.. so got FED and saw a great game! All free, perfect way to round off the weekend.

5:18 pm - Another year flies by
Wow.. can't believe I'm heading into 33. Still feel like I'm in my 20's and still wanting to bonk girls in their 20's but I guess you get to a point where you're past that, damn shame with all the spunky women I keep seeing/meeting and dancing with.

My tooth and stuff is all done, sent me broke, but I guess it's all worth it. Just as my cat's teeth are worth it.. he's got a SECOND operation due next month to finish the denaal work. I'm really hopeful teh dentist will reduce the charge on teh next operation, considering it's finishing the job from the first one! I just can't afford another $500, what with the scooter run coming up and all.

yep, that's right, I'm hopping on my scoot and heading off to Dubbo for a weekend of fun, frivolities ad frunkeness... nup.. drunkeness. Actually I'm cheating, I've built a trailer for it and I'm driving over with the scooter safely stowed on the trailer. It's not 'quite' in good enough mechanical repair for me to trust it for the journey.

Wow... too long since I've posted. Stacks to write. Lets see...

have missed a few weeks of Crank (Crown & Anchor - DJ Ian), but will definately be there Saturday night.. the 22nd. Celebrating my birthday and soaking up the alcohol. ian's off to teh hIves that night, so I will have to wait until I get to Crank to hear his witty reparte, but I've got a bunch of friends who'll be coming out to dinner beforehand so it's going to be a great night. and I get to wear my new jacket...

yep.. FINALLY I have a new leather jacket. It's 2nd hand, off ebay, but a very good buy. Even still sports a few holes in the shoulders from old studs. A perfect fit and instantly felt like an old favourite.

Well that's all for now. Thanks for listening (lie anyone actually does). I've got webs to build, email to read and Firefly to watch.

ohh and tribute to Ronnie Barker ... "and it's goodnight from him."

9:38 pm - I'm baacckkk...
Oh boy, what a crazy month. I don't think I've had so many bills hit so quickly in a long time. Two months of dental work culminating in a crown and a wisdom tooth extraction, most of which wasn't covered by my health insurance has left me around $2000 poorer.

Add to that one of my cats also needed his teeth cleaned, and in the process they found a problem with one of his canines and had to extract the tooth, so that operation blew out to $480.

Of course you can't have bill s liek that without something going wrong with your car, so my driver's side lock jammed, and because it's remote locking that meant I couldn't open the doors properly. A quick $220 had that fixed up. Then there was $370 internet bill (plan change and new modem), $130 mobilephone bill (phone changeover, I really should have waited a month or two)

Anyway, that's over now, so I can start trying to get my bank balances back into the positive. In the meantime I'm going to pretend i actually am still a man of leisure and go out and have a few drinks, chat to my favourite DJ tonight, and come home regretting the fact that to do this requires standing in a smokey nightclub for hours on end. (said smokey nightclub, actually being the Pub the Crown & Anchor, and if anyone wants to come say hi you'll find me skulking about the DJ booth all night wondering what I'm doing out and about by myself. The bondage pants and maroon cons should be hard to miss :)

8:48 am - Journal spam attacks
I'm pretty pissed off this morning to see a flood of Journal comments about Malice flooding my journal. it seems the relevant threads of my journal have been locked because of it, which impacts on my LJ experience.

I sincerley hope that LJ's logging system is up to the task of tracking the offender and identifying them to their ISP or soemthing and getting the loser thrown off the net :)

Anyway... as you can see, I AM still alive! I do still read LJs and I am still a LJ friend of Malice and yahoo group reader too!

3:07 am - broke and still got a drink! yeah!
I was going to have a quiet night, but my friend Raf popped over after work and suggested I coem see his band at the Fad bar tonight. I didn't even know he was playing, but an offer of a lift in, and a free cab ride home sealed the deal.

Ended up having a great night! Got bought a few drinks, spent very little money, and listened to good music all night. Andy DJed a bit after the band and was playing all my favourite Specials, Beat, Clash, etc etc tunes.

Ended up having one of our usual full on conversations, me and Raf, damn we always have a lot to say :) Of course big chunks of it are about my relationship and how my friends see whats going on. I see it too... but I am not going to push things to breaking point at the moment. My GF needs to get her thesis finished, and her honours completed, then personal stuff can be dealt with.

6:26 pm - Wow - I made it back!
After over 3400kms of driving across Australia and back I'm home again. My body is overtired, I am exhaused, but unable to sleep.

Had a great extended weekend away though, met the other guys involved in planning the National Scooter Run and we all got along really well and had a good time in Dubbo. Very early monday (5:20am) I left for Sydney and then had a full on day of drinking and debauchery. Sydney was packed with Army, navy and Air Force for the Anzac day celebrations and the atmosphere was great. Ended up at a place called 3 Monkeys which was not too bad at all, and I could probably get used to going there :)

Had a good Vietmanese Noodle Soup in chinatown, but it still wasn't as good as the one at Charlie's Shack in Adelaide.

Ok, well I'm totally knackered so I may post more later whe4n I've had a chance to read through the accumulated email in my inbox.

1:02 pm - Why does email have to be such a pain.
When it's working it's all fucking SPAM, and then when you need it, it isn't working.

I have all these lovely domains, and hence a few email addresses I use for various things, and now there's soemthing wrong with my hosts system, they got hacked yesterday, and I think it's affected more than we thought :(

So some fucking script kiddy has screwed up a bunch of stuff I'm trying to organise, because none of my incoming emails are getting to me. (and yes this includes LJ stuff, so if I've not responded to something, sorry)

Next time I hear some wanker boast about his leet haxxor skills I'm going to take him outside and quietly club his fucking head in.
